Hunger
Altro vecchio brano tenuto per anni in un cassetto, in una nuova incisione dalle sessioni per "Zenith"...Another old song saved from oblivion, in a brand new version coming from the "Zenith" sessions...
"Hunger"
1996
From the CD "Zenith"
Credits:
Lord Bygon: vocals, piano, keyboards, bass, drums
Song Story:
This song was written for the aborted 1998 album "Skeletons". Since
then it's been hidden in a drawer until in June 2003 I decided to
record it again for the reissue of "ZENITH". Though the lyrics are
maybe too simple, the song works, thanks to its baroque intro (and
outro). Ah, by the way, it's the sequel to "Thirst".

Lyrics
I'm still waiting for an answer,I've been everything and now I'm sick and tired
Now I'm older and I'm starving
I want everything I need, I want to eat it all
I've paid all my dues and now I can't go on
with things I have always had, now I just want more
More, more than I can bear, so much love for us two
just love, I want to eat it all,
I want to know what's really worth it
Darling, you're just going to be the answer to my life
Once I tried to get angry, I've done everything
and I was still alone
once it was thirst, now it's hunger
I just can't stand this life, I want to eat it all
And I've cried all my tears, now I can't go on
with things that don't belong to me,
now I just want you
You're more than I can bear,
so much love for us two
just you, I want to eat you all,
I want to know what's really worth it
Darling, you're just going to be the answer to my life
You're more than I can bear, so much love for us two
just you, I want to eat you all,
you've got to know what's really worth it
Darling, you're just going to be the answer to my life
The answer to my life

Lord Bygon’s talent is obvious, but it sounds like he is trying to do everything. I think this number would be stronger with a different lead vocalist and a softening of the acoustic piano’s driving rhythm. The song is worth a listen, however, and it does peak my curiosity enough to check out more by this artist. Shannon Lee
Beppuzzo, che canzone meravigliosa! E' nella mia top five baigoniana. Mi mette allegria, mi fa capire che QUESTO E' IL POP e quando faremo un concerto tributo a Lord Bygon la voglio cantare io. Beppe Buono, Bologna, Italy
