Song Story:

This is one of those songs that write themselves... I was travelling on a train, and since I didn't have any pen and paper, I was forced to hum this melody until I arrived home and I wrote down the whole score. The first title I thought about was "Elegantly Wasted" - but I swear I didn't know that a famous song with the same title already existed (and to be truthful I've never heard it)! This song's lyrics are the ones that talk about politics... guess who I am speaking about?

Lyrics

Where's that famous man?
We're all waiting for him
instead of the Holy Ghost we've got only our blood
and the eyes of a blind child

But the man will come
with his head screwed on right
No one ever saw his face
how will we recognize the man that we're waiting for?
I think he won't come anymore
I can hear them saying he's just here...

He will give us the truth
for a moment of youth
look, he's going to talk!

Now I see the man
he's in front of us all
Instead of a beard he's got an expensive Rolls-Royce
and a driver drinking pink champagne
He's finally starting to talk
he promises work and peace if we all vote for him
We just can't believe our ears
this man's not a prophet at all
now we see he's just a f***ing man

He's a business tycoon
a political man
with a mouth full of crap

We feel wasted at all
...in an elegant mood...
